The finer 35D/36f specification is suitable for making light and delicate fabrics, such as thin silk – like scarves and high – end underwear. The coarser 650D/144f specification is more suitable for making fabrics that require a certain thickness and strength, such as wool – like overcoat fabrics and thick trouser materials.
