The industrial yarn Air-Transformed Yarn, or ATY, is a chemical fiber filament that has undergone a unique processing method. This yarn is treated using the air-jet method, which gives it a fluffy, terry-like texture by interlocking the filament bundles to create randomly twisted loops.ATY yarn has better coverage than staple fiber yarns and combines the qualities of filament and staple fiber yarns. It also has a strong woolly feel and a nice handfeel.
